WWoofers cleaning the chicken coop

We have a variety of chores ranging from weeding the organic vegetable and pollinator gardens, cleaning the chicken coop, feeding the chickens, organizing the greenhouse, clearing areas for new planting, composting, building new raised beds, raking leaves, managing the compost, harvesting chestnuts and more. We are focused on replacing the grass lawn areas with ground clover, creating new beds with wildflowers, native plants and shrubs. This is a huge undertaking and so we are tackling it slowly, but surely. The goal is to create healthy habitats for the pollinators, provide shelter to wildlife, use less water and grow organic food.

When we’re not in the garden or the beach, we’re out fishing!

Meet The Chickens

You will see our free range chickens around, and each has a place in the pecking order. We have a rooster named Macho, and 8 hens. Feeding them, giving them

water and cleaning the coop are some of the chores we need help with.

We are happy to share the eggs with our volunteers.
